About

Hello! I’m Brit and my mission is simple: To equip others with the life-saving skills that once helped save my husband.

In 2019, my husband Keith went into sudden cardiac arrest at just 35 years old. We were at a friend’s house when it happened—terrifying, surreal, and completely life-altering. I performed CPR alongside two of our friends until first responders arrived. By maintaining circulation and oxygen to the brain, CPR increased Keith’s chances of survival, preserved neurological function, and supported a return to daily living. That intervention not only helped saved his life but changed the trajectory of ours.

We struggled in the aftermath—grappling with trauma, fear, and the weight of nearly losing him. But out of that hardship grew a deep passion: to ensure more people are prepared to step in during those crucial, life-or-death moments. With 70-80% of cardiac arrests happening outside of hospitals—and the majority of them ending in death—bystander CPR can mean the difference between life and loss.

In 2025, I pursued becoming a Red Cross instructor—a journey that helped bring purpose to some of the pain my family endured. Turning a difficult experience into an opportunity to help others has been a way to transform something terrible into something positive.
